What is a Binding Machine?
A binding machine is a device used to secure papers together. It is a relatively common piece of piece of equipment used in offices and schools. Businesses offering copying services will also likely have binding machines available. Depending on the company, self-serve binding machines may be available right alongside photocopy machines for public use. Binding machines are available in both manual or electric styles. If you only have a few projects that require binding, or items to be bound are only a few pages long, then a manual binding machine may be the right choice. Get a thick lot of A4 paper and put a carboard cover back and front. Put it in the binding machine and press a lever and a series of holes will appear every inch or so down the side. Then choose a plastic ringbinder and put it in the machine and press a lever to widen the teeth of the rings, slip the wad of paper over the row of rings and release the ring binder and the whole document will be bound up on the left hand side so that the papers will be all together like a book.
