What is a billing installment? Why not bill on a monthly basis?
Fountainhead bills on an installment system. This ensures that we only bill families for the time their children are in class. We take the 180-day school year and break it into 10 equal installments. An installment is 18 school days. For example, in December there are two weeks of childcare-only days, and we wouldn’t want to bill parents for time when the actual class is not in session. If we billed based on the calendar month, we would overbill parents for those months that have holidays or breaks.
