What is a Billing Authorization Letter?
Prince George’s County will directly pay the cost of each course leading to a teaching degree at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). In exchange for a Billing Authorization Letter, the paraprofessional signs a contract stating that they will remain employed at PGCPS in a Title I School for an additional three years. Any paraprofessional who leaves PGCPS prior to earning the degree or prior to fulfilling his/her required years of service (regardless of the reason) will be required to reimburse PGCPS for all costs incurred by the paraprofessional as part of this program. Who is Eligible? Each candidate must… 1. Be assigned as a paraprofessional in a Title I School 2. Meet all of the college requirements for enrollment and successful completion of an Associates of Arts Degree in Teaching. 3. Adhere to all rules and regulations of the attending college. 4. Pay with his/her own funds all registration fees. 5. Be responsible for the purchase of all textbooks and other required material
