What is a better holiday destination: Dominican Republic, or Mexico?
I visited the Dominican Republic one September and the humidity was horrendous. Even paper money in your pocket is damp, then there’s the malaria treatment and vaccinations. Dom Rep is still developing, the scenery is gorgeous but it’s still quite a backward country. Crossing the road is hazardous, and Car Washes also operate brothels at the rear. I’ve never visited Mexico personally but people I know that have generally consider it a party place. Whatever you decide, have fun and stay safe.
