What is a BER Cert. (Building Energy Rating Certificate)?

0

Our 300 BER Assessors will bid to complete your BER Cert. A BER Cert, which is compulsory for almost all homes being sold or let in Ireland since January 2009, is a rating that shows how energy efficient a building is. This refers to how well the property retains heat, so higher rated homes retain more heat, making them cheaper to run with lower energy bills. If you are selling or letting a property, you must provide a Building Energy Rating (BER) Certificate to the prospective tenants or buyers. Only a qualified Building Energy Rating Assessor, registered with Sustainable Energy Ireland, can complete and produce a BER Certificate. With each BER Cert. an Advistory Report is included which shows specific ways that the building’s energy efficiency may be improved.
