What is a Baghouse Filter?
The dust-laden air then needs to be treated and the contaminates removed, before the air can be recirculated back into the facility or dispersed into the atmosphere. The Dust Collector separates the particles from the airstream and sends it on to its final destination. It does this by passing the dirty air through a fabric filter, which captures the dust particles, and allows the now clean air to pass through.
The filter is then cleaned by either shaking it, reversing the air flow collapsing the bag, or by sending a pulse of compressed air down the bag causing it to expand and dislodge the built up dust.
