Back when there were still vinyl records, a single record had two sides: the A-side and the B-side. The main single track was featured on the A-side, whereas a bonus track could be found on the other. Nowadays CDs have just one side (you don’t have to turn them over to hear the other songs), but sometimes bonus tracks on singles are still called B-sides.
