What is a AEG?
AEG stands for Automatic Electric Gun. These guns use rechargeable batteries to provide power, and are the highest end airsoft guns. They are primarily available in assault rifle configuration due to size constraints of the mechanism, although high-quality AEPs (Automatic Electric Pistols) are starting to be produced. With a couple of exceptions, AEGs shoot in Semi-Automatic and Full-Automatic modes, and can take multiple sizes of magazines (hicaps, lowcaps, and sometimes even midcaps). AEGs are available in more limited configurations that any of the other class of guns.
