What interaction will there be among program areas?
As part of Program-Directed Research, the Research Council and WERF staff have identified integrating factors that are relevant in more than one program area, for example, nutrients, CSOs, decentralized systems, and emerging contaminants. The Research Council will look for these overlaps and take full advantage of them as they consider the research plans presented by the Exploratory Teams. In addition, each WERF staff member has identified an integrating factor that they will pay particular attention to in order to identify opportunities for coordination.
