What institutions are involved in research and education at SIRP?
The C. M. Stripling Irrigation Research Park is a research center of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES). The land is property of the Mitchell County Development Authority. Most of the base support for the facility is from funds provided by the Georgia General Assembly as part of its support of research and extension of UGA’s CAES. Scientists, engineers and others from non-UGA groups, including USDA and other Georgia Institutions are invited to participate in ongoing research or bring research and education programs that require control irrigation facilities.
