The causes of death are infinite. Let’s start with brain injury, aortic shear, chest injuries, abdominal injuries, pulmonary contusions, cardiac contusions, internal bleeding, pneumothorax, pelvic fractures, crushing extremity injuries, spinal or neck fractures…the list goes on and on and on. Any of those and more could potentially cause immediate death.

Without blood your body is starved of oxygen and your heart or brain will fail, and you need these organs operating to have any chance of life. Sometimes such an impact could result in damage to internal organs, and the human body cannot survive without these working. examples in the contrary are stomache and intestines; they are not vital organs. Vital organs might be your kidney. A lot of blood passes through your kidneys. Having one broken will result in massive bleeding. Lungs are also vital, and massive amounts of blood pass through them. Having them damaged will cause bleeding. Bleeding into the lungs will cause suffocation much like drowning. Having your brain bounce around inside your skull isn’t nice either.
