What injuries do motorcycle riders commonly suffer from?
The most common type of injury suffered in a motorcycle accident is a leg fracture. Approximately one-third (30%) of all motorcycle accidents result in a leg fracture in which the leg is broken, or injured as it is trapped between the motorcycle and the roadway pavement. Legs have also been crushed when motor vehicles run over them. Such a simple injury may have a dramatic effect on the injured motorcycle riders employment as well as daily activities, such as walking and standing.
