You need to be able to read, write and speak in conversational English. You also need to know about U.S. istory and government (called civics). ยง Speaking – The USCIS officer will test your English speaking ability when you answer questions about yourself and your application during your interview.You will also be asked to orally answer a set of civics questions to test your understanding of U.S. civics (history and government).
