What information should be included in an obituary?
An obituary should include the name and age of the deceased; the date of death; time, date and location of the funeral; and the name of the funeral home or crematory handling the arrangements. An obituary may also include the cause of death; date and place of birth; personal interests and accomplishments of the deceased; names of those who predeceased and those who survive; details of the visitation; suggested memorials; and acknowledgements of caregivers, friends, family and health care professionals.
