What information is stored in the MIRIAM Database?
The MIRIAM Database forms the core of MIRIAM Resources. The main entry page for each data type can be reached by browsing or searching. The main entry page for each data type contains the following information, under the ‘General’ tab: • MIRIAM identifier – Identifier for the entry in MIRIAM Database. • Name – The name by which the resource is most often known. • Synonyms – Alternative names by which the resource may be known, including deprecated names. • Official URN – This states the stem of the MIRIAM URI by which a specific data item within the data type should be referenced. • Deprecated – Lists deprecated MIRIAM URIs, which may be encountered in legacy annotations. • Definition – A brief description of the type of information found in the resource. • Identifier pattern – The most restrictive Perl-style regex which we consider will match to any identifier that is contained in the resource. • Resource list – List of the individual resources that provide information for the data ty
