The SMS notification will contain: (a) the mobile number of the SIM card. All SMSes carry the country code. (b) the SIM ID of the SIM card. This is a confidential number known only to the Service Provider. In most cases, the owner of the SIM Card does not know what it is. Most users are content to know the mobile number. Normally, when a mobile number is changed without a change of SIM Card, the SIM ID remains and is traceable to the person who registered the phone. SIM ID is a very good trace to the identity of the owner via the Service Provider. (c) the base station ID of the Service Provider. This will give you an idea of the location where the SMS was sent from. The Service Provider would be able to tell you the streeet name of the location ID.
