The Queensland Wetlands Program Wetland Mapping Data contains a number of data sets. They are: • A wetland data set that is made up of waterbodies derived from satellite imagery and from wetland regional ecosystems. In addition to areas classified as wetlands this data set also includes areas that are classified as floodplains and 51-80% wetland regional ecosystem mosaics (refer to Neldner et al 2005 Section 3.8.2 for further discussion of mosaic polygons). • A springs data set containing points showing the location of inland surveyed springs in Queensland. • A streams data set to show the drainage network for Queensland. The Queensland Wetlands Program Wetland Mapping Data also contains wetland attributes which classify the wetlands into wetland systems, salinity classes, local hydrological modification, inundation frequency and regional ecosystems.
