What information do I need to provide to receive pre-programmed RFID labels?
All we need from you is your companies CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code, the number of cases and pallets you are shipping, and a starting serial number for both cases and pallets. Guidelines • Each RFID label must have a unique 24-digit ID encoded in it. This code is generated using your CAGE code, case or pallet type and a serial number. This formula ensures that every single RFID label that is sent through DoD distribution centers is unique. • No contract information is stored in the RFID label. All of your contract data will be submitted to the DoD seperately using the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). This allows DoD suppliers to keep a stock of RFID labels available for future shipments to save on shipping costs. It is always a good idea to keep extra RFID labels around in case of an emergency. SimplyRFiD ships everything same day, but sometimes that’s just not soon enough. • Serial numbers are not specific to a part number or contract number.
