What information can the alternate assessment provide toward the purpose of instructional improvement?
It can give good information not only on where a student is performing but also what teachers, schools, and programs can provide in order to facilitate the student’s learning and performance. If the assessment information does not provide a typical representation of the student’s daily performance and instruction, the assessment will not be as effective or valuable in terms of the information obtained.
