The Bank’s current policy is stated in OP 4.12, Involuntary Resettlement, December 2001. Technical guidance and good practice recommendations are provided in the forthcoming Resettlement Sourcebook: Comprehensive Guidelines for the Resettlement and Rehabilitation of Project-Displaced People. The most current and thorough review of Bank resettlement experience is Resettlement and development; the BankwideReview of Projects Involving Involuntary Resettlement 1986-1993, published by ESSD in 1996.
