What influence does the judicial committee of the Privy Council have on our courts?

Okay, firstly the Privy Council was established by the Judicial committee Act 1833. It’s the final appeal court in some Commonwealth countries. Under traditional rules of precedent, Privy Council do not bind English courts, but do, however, have strong PERSUASIVE authority, because of the seniority of the Judges who sit in the Privy Council. More recently, it was held in a case that the judgement in the Privy Council can bind English courts and effectively overrule an earlier decision by the house of lords.
