What indicates a highly competent program?
One indicator is accreditation by FEPAC. The Forensic Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC) of the American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS) was set up “to develop and to maintain standards and to administer an accreditation program that recognizes and distinguishes high quality undergraduate and graduate forensic science programs.” Of 300 degree programs in forensics, only 14 have sought and received FEPAC accreditation.
