It’s a purely chance game. You don’t really have to think about it. A bunch of people can get together and do it and forget about it for the rest of the month. Here’s how the game went as I have played it. There are 3 tables of 4 people. You start off in an arbitrary place, but once the game starts the ordering has a scheme. One table is the winners’ table, one table is the middle table and one is the losers’ table. This will matter later. The person across from you starts off as your partner for the round. You have three dice and you roll for 1s. If you get a 1 you tally it and roll again. The same person keeps rolling as long as they roll at least a single 1 in each throw. If you get 3 1s (during the 1s rolls) it’s a bunco (and you yell bunco and get the silly dice necklace or whatever marker you use) and you get 21 tally marks for that.
