What in the world is a “Horror Host?
Ohhhh, if you have to ask that then you’ve obviously been wasting your life pursuing pointless, worldly social interests, and seriously neglecting your television set. Since the late 1950s when Zacherly and Vampira began hosting horror films on television, hundreds of hosts have popped up across the country in various guises and disguises. All of them have two things in common: a twisted sense of humor and an ability to make an audience not only sit through a film like “The Incredible Two-Headed Transplant,” but enjoy the experience. To put it bluntly, we’re celluloid-snake-oil salesmen (and women!).
