What in the World Are Miltonia Orchids?
Miltonia Orchids are sometimes called the pansy orchid, because of its flat open faced blooms. They are brightly colored, and highly scented. The stems are long, and arching, reaching a width of up to three inches. Blooms can be white, red, and/or pink with white, yellow, etc; colored markings. Usually they last about twelve weeks. But the actual time of the open bloom is considerably less. For a greenhouse, or home, Miltonia Orchids are one of the easiest to grow. You have to make sure temperatures and light are to the liking of this orchid. Miltonias also prefer an orchid mix of bark and fen fiber. The day time temperatures should not be higher than 85 degrees F, and at night no lower than 65 degrees F. Humidity for Miltonia Orchids should never be less than fifty percent.
