What in Drive-In Rack?

0

Drive-In Rack is a high density type storage system that offers a limited amount of options. The pallets are stored in bays. A fork lift actually drives into the rack structure using several positions to store and retrieve pallet loads. Drive-In rack stores and retrieves pallets from the same aisle in a last-in, first-out order. It is ideally suited for warehouses that maintain a large quantity of a relatively low number of SKUs (stock keeping units). Usually, the same SKU and/or lot number is stored in the same bay because no level can be accessd independently from the others.
