ArcIMS 9.2 is a major release, and users will see many enhancements including: • A new Web Application Developer Framework (ADF) for the Microsoft .NET framework and the Java platform that includes a complete object model and Web controls. • A new browser-based application called ArcIMS Web Manager that enables non-developers to create Web applications. GIS functionality can be delivered through built-in tasks such as Find Address, Find Place, Identify, and Measure. • On the client side, Web applications feature new tools including seamless pan, dynamic zoom, MapTips, and keyboard shortcuts. • Enhancements to the Metadata Server including a new Metadata Explorer.
