What impact would the City’s proposed interim tree regulation have on the Ingraham project?
On September 8, the Mayor announced his desire to have the City Council adopt interim regulations regarding tree preservation. The City has informed us that they will follow a normal SEPA process to review the proposed regulations. The District will carefully review whatever the City Council may ultimately adopt following its planned public comment. Since the Mayor’s proposal now includes groves of trees, we will evaluate how any final regulations — if adopted — would impact our ability to use the land to build the classrooms our students need.
