What impact will the Trail have on birds and their habitats?
The Trail is highway-based. Many of the possible sites along the trail will be areas that already provide public access in a manner designed to reduce resource damage. Site assessments also carefully considered potential impacts to species and habitats. The trail will add an educational component at sites, in the form of interpretive signage on site and a brochure which will provide way-finding and viewing ethics information that is not only beneficial to the visitor but also to the species which inhabit the sites. What can I do to help the trail? Local people and organizations are encouraged to nominate their favorite sites; and help identify species that may be found there.
