What impact has TREM made in the socio-economic life of Nigeria?
We have done quite a lot, by the grace of God. We are established in almost all the states of the country. One of our policies as a ministry is that every branch should ensure that it is involved in the social development of the immediate community and the country at large. The branches must not just exist in the community without doing something for that community. For instance, recently, I ministered in the branch at Iba and I know they supply water to one of the police stations around them and also they have a skill acquisition centre for the people in the community. Some of them supply electricity to the street, some of them give water to the people in the street; so there will be no challenges they cannot handle. From my wife’s ministry she has been able to build a home for the less privileged people, stranded and homeless ladies who are thrown out from their homes; they are taken to that home, we care for them and train them in a trade, free of charge.
