What impact does the digital divide have?
Well, first, don’t search the internet. Try looking at EdWeek.org if you want to find some industry articles. But you should be at a university library, searching ProQuest, PsycInfo, JStor, ERIC, and the journal stacks. Many educators believe the digital divide affects not only the level of actual hardware and hardware access that “rich” or “poor” schools offer but that it affects self-efficacy and motivation in both groups of students – the “haves” and the “have-nots.” If you need help searching those databases, email me. I have a PhD in educational research and psychology from USC. The user name is just a smart-a$s moniker poke at Yahoo’s fascism.
