What if water is leaking past the flapper or flush ball into the bowl?
First, adjust the flush ball chain for proper slack so it isn’t held off the flush valve seat. Clean the flush ball if it is dirty. Replace the flush ball if it is worn or out of alignment with the flush valve seat. If the flush valve seat is damaged or corroded, replace either the seat or the entire flush valve. If the valve gasket is leaking, remove the tank and tighten the flush valve nut. If leakage continues, replace the gasket.
