What if there are still defects or incomplete works that exist at handover/settlement?

A. On the day of handover/settlement the Builder should invite you to attend a final inspection of the property. All items from the Pre-Handover Inspection that the builder agreed to rectify should have been completed by this time. You can also engage ASBIR to attend the Final Inspection with you or on your behalf, to ensure all items from the Pre-handover Inspection Report have been satisfactorily completed before you pay the final payment and accept the keys to your new property. If minor defects or incomplete work still exist at handover/settlement these should be rectified within a specified time (generally 2-3 weeks) after handover.
