What if there are special circumstances around my delivery and assessment that may look as though the RTO is performing poorly?
Both the competency completion report and the report on learner and employer feedback that are submitted to the registering body have provision to note/explain any special circumstances. The competency completion report has a ‘comments’ section where an RTO may explain, for example, why completion rates are unusually high or low. The registering body report around learner and employer feedback includes a section to record specific contexts the registering body should consider when interpreting survey results. The data will be considered in the context of the RTO’s operations and will take into account explanatory notes provided.
