What if the registered owner was not driving the vehicle at the time of the violation?
The registered owner of a vehicle is mailed the Photo Safety citation. If the registered owner was not the driver at the time of the violation, he/she can identify the actual driver of the vehicle. Upon satisfactory receipt of this information, the Avondale Police will take the violation out of the name of the registered owner, and have a new citation issued to the identified driver. See coupon option “D” on the first page of the citation received in the mail.
A. If the registered owner was not the driver at the time of the violation, he/she must appear at the Florissant Municipal Court on the date and time indicated on the Summons and Complaint. At the court proceeding, the registered owner can provide the name and address of the driver on a court provided form. Upon satisfactory receipt of this information, the Florissant Municipal Court will dismiss the citation and re-issue a citation to the identified driver.
Both the Traffic Violation Notice and Arizona Ticket and Complaint have locations for the owner to submit the name and address of the person responsible for the violation and return it to Redflex Traffic Systems at the address shown on the Traffic Violation Notice or Arizona Ticket and Complaint.
