What if the recipients cellular phone is off or out of the service area?
If the recipient’s phone is out of the service area or turned off, the message is stored on the network. The recipient will receive their messages when their handset is re-activated, or on returning to the service area. To send a message to another cellular user: 1. Reach your cellular phone’s ‘Message’ menu. 2. Go to ‘Write Message’ menu. 3. Type the message to be sent. While in write text mode, the keys automatically punch alphabets written below the numbers. Press a key once, twice or three times to write the desired alphabet. 4. To send the message to the cellular phone user, enter the mobile number or locate it from your phone’s phonebook. Some network operators will respond with a confirmation message when the message is sent. If the recipient’s phone is out of the service area or turned off, the message is stored on the network.
