What if the price of oil drops?
The era of cheap oil is over – new discoveries are generally harder to find, more expensive to extract, and more expensive to refine. And the alternatives to the Middle East (Caspian Sea basin, African sub-continent, South America) have the same types of political unrest we find in the Middle East. The world is now consuming around 1000 barrels of oil per second, so the prices are likely to remain elevated, over time. Still, our business is viable even if prices decline.
