What if the pdf file doesn’t print some mathematical symbols correctly and I want to administer the EMPT in a paper and pencil format?

Mathematical symbols are dependent on printers and software to print correctly. Try a different printer. If you still have problems with certain symbols displaying properly, ask your IT folks to check what version of Adobe you have. You need at least Version 8. The IT people can download it free. If you really run into a situation where you just can’t get the pdf to print correctly locally (and so far, we have not heard of this happening), contact empt@exams.wisc.edu and request a camera-ready copy of the form you intend to use. It will be sent by US mail.
