What if the home inspection uncovers problems?
All houses have defects of some type. It is the intent of the home inspection to advise you of those defects and the extent of the repairs that are needed in order to correct them. It is your decision how those needed repairs will affect your purchase. Usually needed repairs are negotiated with the seller to have them repaired prior to closing the deal. Occasionally the seller will issue a credit for those repairs so that you may have them repaired by contractors of your choosing.
