What if the Healthcare Commission makes recommendations to my local NHS trust after reviewing my complaint? After 31 March 2009, who will make sure that the trust carries out your recommendations?
The trust is responsible for making sure that it carries out our recommendations, and for telling you what action it has taken. If you believe that the trust has failed to carry out our recommendations, please inform us. We will then decide if we can resolve the matter by 31 March 2009. If there is not enough time to do so, we will forward your case to the Ombudsman to consider. After 1 April you should approach the Ombudsman directly with issues like this.
