What if the defendant fails to appear for a scheduled court date?

0

If a defendant fails to appear for a scheduled court date, the court will issue a warrant for the defendant’s arrest, and then notify the bail bond company of the defendant’s failure to appear. The bail bond company then works with family and friends of the defendant to either get the defendant’s bond with the court reinstated, or to surrender the defendant back into custody. If we are unsuccessful, the court will demand full payment of the bond.
