What if the debtor later discontinues the Chapter 13 case?
The debtor has the right to either dismiss a Chapter 13 case or convert it to a Chapter 7 at any time for any reason. However, if the debtor stops making the required payments, the Chapter 13 Trustee will file a motion with the court to dismiss the case. If this occurs and our office has not contacted you, you need to immediately contact our office to schedule an appointment to discuss the status of your case.
