What if the death occurs while under Hospice care?
When a person dies while under Hospice Care, the Hospice nurse should be contacted immediately. They will then call all the necessary people required to have the body released and in most cases will also call the Funeral Home as well. All Hospice nurses are familiar with this procedure and will probably discuss it with the family prior to the death.
