What if the cat is pregnant or in heat?
The clinic will accept cats in heat and pregnant cats for spaying, regardless of how far along the pregnancy is. The pregnancy will be terminated during the spay surgery. Surgery is harder on a pregnant cat and she may need IV fluids to compensate for the extra blood loss, and she may require an additional day or two of recovery time. There is no additional charge for spaying a cat in heat or a pregnant cat and we do recommend bringing her in before giving birth to avoid more unwanted litters.
