There are many ways a father can bond with the new baby: giving baths, infant massage, cuddling, rocking, walking, talking to the baby, and even changing diapers can provide special contact. It is nice for Dad to sit close to Mom and baby while she s breastfeeding. After 2 3 weeks of learning to breastfeed, it is usually fine for Dad to give an occasional bottle of pumped breastmilk.
