What if the 1+3 programme I want to follow does not have any nomination (quotas)?

The outlets with 1+3 Recognition which have not been allocated Nomination (Quota)s can submit one application only into the Proposal (Open) competition. Outlets will be responsible for selecting their applicant but the awards will be allocated by the ESRC on a competitive basis. This means that selection by an outlet for a competition place does not guarantee that an award will be offered by the ESRC. As for Nomination (Quota) awards you should apply direct to the course of your choice and not to the ESRC. Application forms for the Proposal (Open) 1+3 Competition are available from our webpage.
