What if someone wants us to teach grammar or special groups?
Unless you have a large group of willing and trained volunteers, learn to say “no.” Determine what it is you want to accomplish and then set boundaries so that you can reach those goals. You will be asked to do more, and again we say, learn to say “no” to those things that are not a part of your mission focus. The Spotlight English Club is not a program intended to formally teach English. Rather, it is an opportunity for individuals to practice speaking English. Encourage the listener to continue coming to the club and invite them to take part in the other opportunities you may have to practice speaking English (Bible studies, Sunday school, church etc).
