What if someone closes the door before the mail carrier gets there?

The MaiLocker has a mail slot in the door, so the carrier will still be able to deliver letters and flat pieces. If you happen to have a package, the carrier will leave a note. Our mail slot was designed so that flat pieces can be inserted, but so that it would be very difficult for a mail thief to fish items out through the slot. The slot on our regular size is 6 3/4″ from side-to-side and 3/8″ deep; the slot on the extra large measures 91/2″ x 3/8″.
