LaserShield® alarms are equipped with back up battery systems. If, while running on backup power, the batteries in the Master Alarm Unit run low, the monitoring station receives a “low battery” signal and will contact you to inquire about the condition. Master Alarm Unit batteries automatically recharge when power is restored. Wireless Detection Unit batteries do not recharge, but last for up to five years.
