We hold stray dogs forsix business days and stray cats forthree business days, while we try to locate the owner this is the law. If no-one come in to claim them during that time they are evaluated for temperament and health before being put up for adoption. There is no time limit on how long a healthy adoptable pet can stay with us and some have stayed more than six months before they found just the right home.
